Mackenzie Clarke is a passionate and empathetic counseling intern committed to supporting the emotional and developmental needs of children and their families. Currently completing her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Mackenzie brings a person-centered, trauma-informed, and neurodiversity-affirming approach to her work.

At The Parish School in Houston, Mackenzie worked with children navigating a range of emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. Drawing from evidence-based practices and a deep understanding of relational and educational dynamics, she helped young clients express themselves, build resilience, and move toward meaningful growth. She integrated clinical insight with school-based collaboration, working closely with educators, speech-language pathologists, and caregivers to support the whole child.

Before transitioning to the counseling field, Mackenzie served as an Academic Advisor at Texas A&M University Galveston and taught Teen Leadership at Friendswood Junior High. These experiences strengthened her passion for helping young people find confidence, connection, and direction. Mackenzie holds a Bachelor of Science in Multidisciplinary Studies from Texas Tech University and is on track to earn LPC-Associate licensure in 2025.

Known for her transparency, warmth, and consistent communication, Mackenzie creates a safe, supportive environment where children and families feel seen, heard, and empowered.
