Jessica is a Licensed Professional Counseling Associate (LPC-A), supervised by Dr. Jana McLain, LPC-S, a Certified Yoga Instructor (RYT-200) and Certified School Counselor. She enjoys working women,  young adults, and adolescents experiencing life transitions (new motherhood, moving from high school to college, early sobriety, engagement/marriage). She recently completed her Level 1 Gottman Training to work specifically with couples on managing conflict, enhancing friendship and intimacy, and creating a shared meaning for life. In addition, she specializes in womens’ issues (including perinatal challenges such as postpartum depression, anxiety and OCD), stress management, alcohol and substance abuse, anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation & self harm.

Jessica graduated from Lamar University with a Masters in Education (School Counseling) and Clinical Mental Health Counseling.  Jessica served in public education for 12 years providing mental health support, social-emotional education, and individual and family counseling before transitioning to private practice. She is a mom of two energetic toddlers, enjoys reading, anything outdoors, and practicing yoga in her free time.

Jessica uses a positive, collaborative, and empathetic approach to counseling providing her clients with a safe, non-judgmental space to process their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. She works with each client to create individualized goals for growth based on their unique needs and challenges. Jessica enjoys using skills-based counseling modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and the Gottman Method to equip clients with the tools they need to take charge of their own circumstances. While focusing first on present moment challenges, Jessica also employs psychodynamic strategies to identify how past experiences may be influencing present behaviors.

She is currently accepting new couples & clients! Schedule your free 15 minute consultation today.
